Todd Back, Watercolor Hot Rods and Antiques

Todd Back, Watercolor Hot Rods and AntiquesTodd L. Back born 1963 in a small Indiana town. Creativity and the desire to draw began at a young age. Influenced by his older brother's color pencil drawing of Uncle Sam, Todd's ambition was enduring. In 1982, Todd was nominated for the Hallmark award, and was a Gold Key winner for his watercolor painting "Ride and Shine". He was also given an Honorable Mention on his pencil drawings.

Further encouraged and inspired by his high school art teacher, Todd pursued an art degree by attending Ancilla College. Transferring to Indiana State University, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Upon graduation, he focused on freelance Design and Illustration.

His freelance experience has included designs for the Plymouth Blueberry Festival, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, Hoosier Racing Tire and Urey Middle School. His artwork has been displayed on canvas, signs, magazines, apparel, etc. In 2000, Todd had the pleasure of meeting the actor Paul LeMat (A.K.A. John Milner from the movie "American Graffiti"). Todd worked with the actor to illustrate scenes from the movie. While traveling to several car shows, Paul autographed copies of the illustrations.

Today, Todd continues his creative design work in a wide range of subject matter. His primary methods are watercolor and color pencil. His passion lies in the illustration of Classic Cars.
